After ten years of story producing at CTV, BRAVO and APTN, Shannon set out to build Shaka Productions. She spent the next ten years writing and directing television series, and producing corporate videos for clients like RedBull, Microsoft, City of Richmond, Metro Vancouver, The Dreamcatcher Charitable Foundation, and the Adam Beach Film Institute.
Shannon was the elected secretary, vice-president, and president of Women in Film + Television Vancouver over a five year period and spent three years on the board of directors of Reel Causes. Shannon has serves on various juries including the Canadian Screen Awards, Banff World Media Festival, Junos Awards, Directors Guild of Canada Film Awards, The Spotlight Awards, Crazy8s.
Thrilled to be simultaneously working for the City of Richmond while continuing to develop her film making career; Shannon was recently admitted into the Directors Guild of Canada as a documentary director.
